Sky Sports sources understand that Carlos Tevez's advisor Kia Joorabchian has held initial talks with AC Milan.
The Manchester City striker's future has been uncertain following his refusal to warm-up in a UEFA Champions League clash away to Bayern Munich in September.
Tevez was fined two weeks' wages over the saga at the Allianz Arena and he risked further sanctions recently after returning to Argentina without being granted the club's permission.
Corinthians wanted to bring the Argentina international to Brazil over the summer, but the deal failed to come to fruition before the transfer window closed.
It now seems that AC Milan could be in pole position for the 27-year-old after Joorabchian flew to Milan on Thursday and met with Rossoneri chief executive Adriano Galliani.
The Serie A champions are keen to bolster their attacking options with Alexandre Pato and Antonio Cassano absent and Tevez could be the man to fill the void when the transfer window reopens.
AC Milan are reportedly willing to pay a fee around £25million, a reduced transfer figure from the £40m price tag City placed on Tevez last summer.
