Milan manager's future not in doubt, says midfielder

Midfielder Antonio Nocerino has dismissed reports AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri could be heading for the San Siro exit door. Despite provisionally reclaiming top spot in Serie A on Tuesday, the Rossoneri have suffered a blip in form which threatens to derail their season. A UEFA Champions League exit to Barcelona was followed by a home defeat to Fiorentina, handing Juventus the initiative in the league once again. However, Nocerino insists the media speculation suggesting Allegri, who won the title in his first full season last term, will be dismissed if Milan end up empty handed is well wide of the mark. "These are things said by the press but sincerely we feel the club's faith (in Allegri) as does the boss," said the former Juventus man.

Concentration

"The only thing we need to do is concentrate on the pitch which is the most important thing." The Old Lady will return to the summit if they beat Lazio at home on Wednesday, and will be in confident mood on the back of four consecutive wins. And Nocerino, 27, admits all Milan can do is continue to pile the pressure on Juve following Tuesday's 1-0 win at Chievo. "We won't be letting up even for a second and we'll be playing every game like it's a final," he added. "We need to put Juventus under pressure and we can only do that by showing the same desire and performance that we did yesterday (Tuesday)."
