The 25-year-old grabbed Italy's second in a 2-2 draw with Czech Republic in Palermo on Wednesday.
Despite scoring his first international goal, Di Natale was quizzed about reports suggest that big-spending Palermo had already agreed a deal with Empoli for him.
Di Natale insists he wants to continue helping Empoli avoid relegation, but admitted he will look at Palermo if they are promoted.
"Scoring my first goal with Azzurri gives me really big satisfaction," he said.
"But don't say I'm already a Palermo player. For the moment I must think to Empoli's salvation. Then if Palermo will arrive in Serie A we will see."
Di Natale is hoping his goal will go a long way to helping him become part of Italy's Euro 2004 squad.
"For the moment I don't feel a permanent member of the national team, but I know Giovanni Trapattoni is really attentive and puts his eyes on me," he added.
"I want to thank my club, Empoli and coach Trap. But now my mind is for next Sunday's away match against Modena. We want to win."
