Corini was due to be a free agent in the summer and Palermo have been anxious to keep the veteran midfielder at the club.
The 34-year-old joined Palermo from Chievo Verona in 2003 and played an instrumental role in helping the club into Serie A.
He has been similarly influential this term as Palermo chase a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League.
Palermo have been working on tying up Corini's future for several weeks and will be delighted to have reached a positive outcome.
Corini has agreed to stay in Sicily until 2007 and he could be followed in signing a new deal by team-mate Lamberto Zauli.
Negotiations have been ongoing with the playmaker, who is tipped to commit himself to Palermo for at least another season.
