Juve dismiss Zanetti talk

Juventus insist they are not interested in Inter midfielder Cristiano Zanetti.

Juventus have insisted that they are not interested in Internazionale midfielder Cristiano Zanetti.

Zanetti has just a year left on his Inter contract and has not yet started discussions on a new deal, but has said that he wants to remain at Giuseppe Meazza.

Juve general manager Luciano Moggi met with Inter owner Massimo Moratti during the week, but he says it was not to discuss Zanetti.

"I simply had a coffee with Moratti, why do people always think that clubs talk about transfers?" said Moggi.

"Zanetti is a great player but is of no interest because our midfield is more than complete. In fact, a few players will actually leave."

Fabio Capello has already revealed his interest in Zanetti, but the arrival of Patrick Vieira could be the last big-money signing for Juve this summer.

Juve have already let Stephen Appiah join Fenerbahce, but Moggi has dismissed talk of Manuele Blasi being a target for Fiorentina.

"That is not true either," added Moggi. "Fiorentina have never made a request to us for Blasi."
