Messina have added Christian Rigano and Mitsuo Ogasawara as they prepare for Serie A.
Messina have added striker Christian Rigano and midfielder Mitsuo Ogasawara, but are yet to receive any reassurances on their Serie A future.
The Serie B outfit are set to replace Juventus in the Italian top flight as a result of the country's high profile match-fixing scandal.
But with Bianconeri threatening action in the civil courts to overturn their decision, the Stadio Giovanni Celeste side have asked for a guarantee on their future status.
"We waited for all the phases of the sporting inquiry to conclude, but now that Juve have decided to appeal to the regional court, away from football justice, we have asked the Italian Federation to officially announce Messina as Serie A's 20th team," Franza explained.
"Should the regional court then decide to reinstate Juve in Serie A the thing will be concluded.
"But if they send us back to Serie B, we will ask for damages in compensation."
Meanwhile Fiorentina frontman Rigano, who played on loan at Empoli last season has signed for the Sicilians.
"The player has definitely been sold to Messina," Viola's sporting director Pantaleo Corvino revealed.
"I want to thank him because his goals have been really important in securing the team's promotion from Serie C2 to Serie A."
Kashima Antlers' Japanese international Ogasawara has also been added to the squad, as Messina make their preparations for the new top flight season.
