MUSLIMOVIC READY FOR SWEDISH CALL

UDINESE striker Zlatan Muslimovic is still interested in playing for Sweden after missing the match with Bosnia Herzegovina because of passport problems.

Muslimovic missed the clash as he did not have a Swedish passport at the time and although he was told by the match referee it was not essential, he was forced to withdraw from the squad as Swedish authorities insisted anyone who plays for their country must have one.

"I got very angry when they insisted I had to have one so I returned home to Udine. Now I am waiting for a call from someone at the Swedish Federation," he said.

Muslimovic has also been linked with a loan move to Serie B leaders Verona, but despite their strong interest, he insists he will not be leaving Udinese.

"I have heard about their interest. Agents have called Udinese to enquire about me. But there is not a chance I will play Serie B football," he commented.
