Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo has insisted that playmaker David Pizarro will not be sold in January.
The Chilean international has fallen out of favour in recent weeks after a row with club officials over his new contract.
It had been suggested Udinese were looking to sell him in January, but Pozzo says this will not happen.
"Pizarro will not move in January," he affirmed.
Pozzo believes there is still a chance that Pizarro will sign a new deal.
"I think it could be possible finding an agreement with him," he added. "Anyway in January he won't move.
"At the end of the season, possibly, we'll see."
Pizarro says the ball is in the club's court: "We have spoken, but there haven't been interesting steps forward. Everything depends on the club."
