Udinese midfielder Martin Jorgensen has signed a contract keeping him at the club until 2007.
The Dane has signed a two-year extension to his present deal which was due to expire in 2005.
Not only has the Dane signed but Udine sporting director Pierpaolo Marino confirmed he had signed on reduced terms, proving his commitment to the Serie A outfit.
"His contract has been extended and reduced in the same way as Valerio Bertotto's," affirmed Marino.
Another star who has recently signed a new deal, Chilean playmaker David Pizarro, found himself back in the first team for the Coppa Italia match against Internazionale on Tuesday, after previously being excluded for not committing himself to Stadio Friuli.
However, his return was not a happy one as he twisting his knee and has now been ruled out for a month.
Meanwhile, Udinese coach Luciano Spalletti was pleased with the club's goalless draw against Internazionale in the Coppa Italia.
"To get more than this was impossible. It is a results that gives us great possibilities. We must score at the San Siro," he said.
