The Japan striker (pictured) has a agreed a one-year loan deal with Samp, with an option to sign him on a permanent basis from Kashima Antlers for é¼2 million if he impresses.
The Genova outfit's general director Giuseppe Marotta, denied that the player was signed because he was Asian, and would bolster the club's commercial ambitions.
"I want to underline that this isn't a commercial negotiation," said Marotta.
"The player has big capabilities and he could help us."
The club have also bagged Zenoni on loan from Italian champions Juventus.
The 26-year-old struggled to see much action last season and has jumped at the chance to link up with the newly-promoted outfit.
Sampdoria have now made five signings this week, as they aim to make an impact in Serie A next season.
Zenoni and Yanagisawa have joined Aimo Diani, Massimo Donati and Cristian Doni in committing to Samp.
