Yanagisawa enjoying Italian life

LIFE at Sampdoria has started well for Atsushi Yanagisawa.

The Japanese international recently moved to Italy from Kashima Antlers and has settled in well thanks to the help of his new team-mates.

26-year old Yanagisawa has impressed in pre-season games including netting five times in one game.

"I am happy that I was able to join a club whose players are so attentive to me when it should be me who should be attentive to them," the striker told the Japanese media.

However, the player remains realistic that it will take him time to settle into the Italian way of playing football.

"What is required of a forward is almost the same," Yanagisawa commented.

"But I think it will take a little more time before I can fit in as one of the 11 players. I will not be hasty.

"I think I have to be largely content with my play so far although I think I can do better in some parts."
