Chievo have completed the signing of Senegalese left-back Boukary Drame on a free transfer from Sochaux.
Drame, 26, has signed a three-year contract with the Italian club after deciding to end an association with Sochaux that stretches back until 2007.
He had been linked with Leicester, Nottingham Forest and Fulham and admits he would have liked to come to England, but is now excited about playing for Chievo.
"My first choice was to play in England," the defender told skysports.com.
"However, the English team were taking too long for me, Chievo came with an offer I could not refuse and they showed me they want me to be part of their history.
"I can't wait to start playing week in, week out for this team and for the fans."
