Former Arsenal forward Tomas Danilevicius has been rewarded with a bumper new contract by Livorno.The Lithuania international has been handed a deal to stay with the Serie A side until 2009, after impressing at Livorno.
Though the 26-year-old has an impoverished goalscoring record with Livorno, he has impressed with his all-round contribution.
Danilevicius linked up with Livorno in 2002 from Beveren, whom he joined from Arsenal a year earlier.
He made just three appearances under Arsene Wenger at Highbury and also had a loan spell in Scotland with Dunfermline.
But he has relaunched his career in Italy with Livorno and can now look forward to a long-term stay with the Serie A minnows.
