Messina have denied that Riccardo Zampagna punched a Siena official.Messina have denied that striker Riccardo Zampagna punched a Siena official in a tunnel bust up between the two clubs.
Zampagna could face criminal charges, with the Siena pitch attendant expected to make an official complaint.
However, Messina supremo Pietro Franza believes that the opposition's staff created the problem - and insisted that his charge was innocent.
"Zampagna didn't hit anybody," insisted Franza. "In fact, Messina players were attacked by Siena's staff.
"When we came back to the dressing room there were a few verbal disputes between the players, but nothing else."
Referee Paolo Bertini was reportedly attacked by a group of home fans after the match - but the police were on hand to prevent a serious incident.
