The youngster has made a real impression at Chievo since joining the club from San Lorenzo.
His performances this term have prompted scouts from around Europe to travel to Verona to assess his talents.
Reports have suggested he could be moved on in the near future, but Santana claims he is fully focused on Chievo.
"The most important thing for me is to keep on working like I'm doing and work hard for Chievo," he said. "I don't pay attention to the rumours and my idea is to stay here."
Santana could well get the chance to show his skills to the world during the summer, as he is being tipped to secure a place for Argentina at the Olympics.
Meanwhile, there is confusion surrounding the future of Giuseppe Sculli. Perugia claimed on Friday that they had struck a deal to sign the forward, but he turned out and scored for Chievo against Brescia at the weekend.
Chievo coach Luigi Del Neri has no intention of selling Sculli, as he said: "Sculli? He's a Chievo player who will find his place and I don't want to sell him.
"We have never thought about selling him."
Sculli is desperate to secure regular football and it could be that Perugia may look to sign him later in the week if Del Neri fails to provide the forward with assurances about his future.
