One in, one out at Sampdoria

Cagliari have signed Sampdoria midfielder Daniele Dessena. The Italy Under 21 international has opted to leave Sampdoria for a new challenge at Cagliari. Dessena is delighted to be making the move to Cagliari after attracting interest from other clubs. "I'm delighted to sign for Cagliari and I am just glad this whole saga is finally over," said Dessena. "I spoke to several friends - people like Francesco Pisano, Robert Acquafresca, and Gianfranco Zola - and they all said that Cagliari was the ideal place for me. I feel honoured to wear the Rossoblu shirt." Cagliari have also snapped up Juventus defender Lorenzo Ariaudo on loan. Meanwhile, Sampdoria have brought in Empoli forward Nicola Pozzi on a loan agreement. Pozzi has agreed a season-long loan deal and will add options to Gigi Del Neri's attacking alternatives.
