The 23-year-old was signed by the Gialloblu in the summer as a replacement for Marco Di Vaio, who moved to Juventus.
Ironically, Juve themselves are now said to be gearing up a bid for the Romanian.
The Turin club have been long-term admirers of Mutu and almost signed him last season, before he left Verona for Parma.
Meanwhile, Parma's Marco Marco Marchionni has denied recent speculation that he wants to leave the club, after he was linked with a move to Brescia.
"I want to remain at the Tardini," the former Empoli man told the club's official website. "I too have heard the rumours but I really do hope that they are not true.
"I feel a close tie to this club who gave me the opportunity to make the leap to this level of the game. I really don't want to move away."
The former Italian Under 21 international joined the club last year, after a proposed transfer to Fiorentina fell through.
