Midfielder expected to remain at San Paolo

Napoli midfielder Walter Gargano is 90 per cent likely to remain at the club this summer, according to his agent. The Uruguay international, 27, has been linked with a move away from Napoli before the transfer window closes at the end of August. Gokhan Inler's arrival from Udinese fuelled the speculation that Gargano may no longer be required and his representative, Vincenzo D'Ippolito, admits there is time for a deal to be struck. However, he fully expects Gargano to stay at the Stadio San Paolo and believes he can play alongside Inler. "Gargano has great desire to continue his career in Napoli," D'Ippolito told Radio Kiss Kiss. "He'll be back from vacation in a week and it is 90 per cent he will remain at Napoli, even if there is time for the market until 31st August. "Together with Inler, Walter would form an exceptional midfield for Napoli."
