The goalkeeper had been waiting to see if a change of manager would alter his circumstances, but he has decided his future lies away from Roma.
The Italy international is happy to leave Roma and is now focusing on breaking back into the Azzurri set-up.
"I'm really happy," Pelizzoli told the club's official website. "I hope to have a good season.
"The first aim will be to do good things with Reggina and then hope for a possible return to the Italian national team.
"Reggina is the right club for me, I'm sure, after a not so positive season. I have the will to immediately show my value and repay the club's faith."
Vigiani has joined Reggina on a season-long loan deal from Livorno, with the midfielder having the option of a permanent switch.
