Borussia Monchengladbach director of sport Max Eberl has rejected reports he is set to assume the same position with Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.
Bayern have been without a director of sport since Matthias Sammer stepped down for personal reasons earlier this summer after he suffered a minor stroke last season.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said the German champions are in no rush to replace Sammer, but that has not stopped rumours circulating that Eberl is being targeted.
"There is no such thing as a conditional tense in football," said Eberl.
"I'm just focusing on the here and now. That is Monchengladbach."
Eberl, 42, has a contract with the Foals until 2020.
