European Paper Talk: Real Madrid to target Tottenham duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli

Dele Alli (right) says Tottenham 'do not need to spend loads of money'

The European transfer window may only have been closed for just over a month but clubs will already have an idea of where they will need to strengthen when it reopens in January.

So we asked our friends at Football Whispers to scour the continental media for the latest news and transfer rumours.

Spain

Real Madrid may be operating slightly differently in the transfer market under Zinedine Zidane, but this doesn't stop them pursuing the occasional Galactico signing. Having seen many of the recent marquee signings head to Paris Saint-Germain, the European champions are looking to reassert their authority in the transfer market by bringing Tottenham pair Harry Kane and Dele Alli to the Bernabeu. Manchester City are preparing a January bid of £359m on the off chance that Leo Messi wants out of Barcelona. While the likelihood of the Argentine leaving the club is slim, City are undeterred and sources within the club claim "serious conversations have been held" with Messi's entourage around a possible move. France

Marseille have completed the permanent signing of Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi following an initial loan deal. The 23-year-old is expected to make his international debut for France soon, and will play his football in the south of France for the foreseeable future. (L'Equipe)

There could be cause for concern for Real Madrid, with Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea emerging as a target for Paris Saint-Germain. The Ligue 1 side are not convinced current stoppers Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola are of the required standard and will make a move for De Gea, or Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak, next season. Germany

England U17 star Jadon Sancho, who joined Borussia Dortmund in the summer, has been impressing the German media who are reporting on his exploits at the U17 World Cup in India. After scoring twice in a 4-0 England win over Chile, one report stated the young striker is "proving his talent" at the tournament in India.

Italy

Japanese left back Yuto Nagatomo is on the radar of three Premier League clubs. The 31-year-old Inter Milan full-back is being eyed by Newcastle, Burnley and West Brom, although the Serie A club have also offered him an extension that would keep him at the San Siro until 2019. (Tuttomercato)

Zenit St Petersburg remain interested in Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa, despite having bids turned down in the summer. Roberto Mancini's side are looking to add the Italy U21 international winger to their ranks, while Bayern Munich and Napoli have also shown interest. (Tuttomercato)

Croatia international centre-back Tin Jedvaj is on the radar of Inter Milan. The 21-year-old previously spent time in Italy with Roma before moving to his current club Bayer Leverkusen. But Inter will attempt to bring the much-improved defender back to Serie A. (Tuttosport)
