With the end of the season approaching, Europe's biggest clubs are already plotting their summer moves with a World Cup to negotiate around.

Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured the European media to round up the latest transfer news and big stories.

Spain

Eden Hazard will be a Manchester City transfer target in the summer, with Pep Guardiola making the Chelsea star his main priority. The Catalan coach wants three big-name signings, including the Belgian. Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez and Monaco's Thomas Lemar are also being watched in attack. In defence, Guardiola has identified Tottenham Hotspur's Toby Alderweireld as the man he wants to shore up his backline. A midfielder is also on his radar, with Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl, Napoli's Jorginho, Nice's Jean-Michael Seri and Shakhtar Donetsk's Fred all being considered. (Sport)

Barcelona are thinking of making Jordi Cruyff part of the backroom structure at the Nou Camp. The Dutchman is currently manager at Maccabi Tel Aviv, but will leave the Israeli club in the summer. (RAC1)

Bayern Munich will appoint Eintracht Frankfurt manager Niko Kovac as their new boss in the summer. He will replace Jupp Heynckes and Bayern will pay his current club €2.2m (£1.9m) for the 46-year-old's services. (SportBild)

Bologna forward Simone Verdi is an Inter transfer target. The Milan club are considering loaning their fellow Serie A side hot prospect Andrea Pinamonti and incoming goalkeeper Andriy Lunin as part of any deal. (Corriere dello Sport)

After Real Madrid's controversial penalty that saw Juventus knocked out of the Champions League, Giovanni Malago, president of the Italian National Olympic Committee, says he will speak to UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin about the introduction of VAR in Europe's biggest club competition. Gianluigi Buffon could face a domestic ban after his outburst on Wednesday where he called referee Michael Oliver out of his depth.
