Julian Nagelsmann will leave Hoffenheim at the end of next season to take charge of RB Leipzig.

The 30-year-old, who took over as head coach of Hoffenheim side in February 2016, made use of a contractually agreed exit clause in his contract which was set to run until 30 June, 2021.

Nagelsmann had been linked with Arsenal before the London club appointed former Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery, but he will instead take charge of Bundesliga rivals Leipzig, who finished fifth - two points behind his Hoffenheim side - last season.

"I owe it to TSG and all of its employees, as well as to the tram and the fans, that this historic season in which we are competing in the Champions League for the first time, to not have any constant assumptions about my future," Nagelsmann told the Hoffenheim club website.
