Mainz have completed the double signing of Miroslav Karhan and Srdjan Baljak.
Bundesliga Zwei side Mainz have completed the double signing of Miroslav Karhan and Srdjan Baljak as the club look to return to the German top flight at the first attempt.
Slovakian international midfielder Karhan has agreed a two-year deal at the Bruchweg Stadion after leaving VfL Wolfsburg.
Christian Heidel, the Mainz general manager, is pleased to have captured the midfielder as he looks to build a side capable of securing promotion following the club's Bundesliga relegation last season.
"Miroslav not only has qualities as a player, but can also contribute to the club in many other ways," Heidel told the Mainz official website.
"He is a versatile player with a whole wealth of experience of top-quality football and in addition has expressed a great desire to take on a new challenge here at Mainz."
Serbian striker Srdjan Baljak has also put pen to paper at Mainz as the club look to replace Mohamed Zidan who recently departed for Hamburg.
Baljak topped the Serbian Meridian Super League scoring charts last term after scoring 18 goals for FK Banat Zrenjanin.
