Germany international switches allegiance

Werder Bremen have confirmed Tim Borowski is to quit the club in the summer in order to move to Bayern Munich. The 27-year-old Germany international has rejected fresh terms at Werder and will end his long-standing relationship with the club at the end of the season. Borowski will become Jurgen Klinsmann's first signing for the Bavarian giants when he takes over the Bayern reins on 1st July. Having been a key figure for the club over the past few seasons, playing a major part in Bremen's Bundesliga title campaign in 2004, Borowski's departure will be sorely felt at the Weserstadion. "It a shame as we would have happily carried on with Tim," said Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf.
