Mehdi Mahdavikia has dismissed rumours that he is on his way out from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Midfielder fully committed to Bundesliga club

Mehdi Mahdavikia has dismissed rumours that he is on his way out from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 31-year-old is said to be out of favour with Eintracht boss Friedhelm Funkel and was tipped to be making a move out of the Waldstadion before the transfer window closes. However the Iranian international strongly snubbed the reports and states he has no intention of leaving the Bundesliga club just yet. "The rumour about me parting ways with Eintracht is not true," the 31-year-old told ISNA. "My contract expires in 2010 and I intend to remain here until then. I am fully committed to the club and I won't be influenced by such rumours." The midfielder has struggled with injuries since joining The Eagles in the summer of 2007. Despite being used sparingly in the club's pre-season fixtures, the versatile midfielder is expected to feature more when he returns to full fitness.
