Bremen chief denies double raid

Image: Allofs: No interest in duo

Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs denies any interest in Konstantin Rausch and Florian Fromlowitz.

Allofs not interested in Hannover 96 pair

Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs has ruled out a swoop for Hannover 96 duo Konstantin Rausch and Florian Fromlowitz this summer. German newspaper BILD reported on Monday that Allofs was keen to bring the pair in on a £4.3million deal, but goalkeeper Fromlowitz and full-back Rausch are both tied to long-term contracts at the AWD- Arena and are featuring regularly under boss Mirko Slomka. Allofs insists the article was wide of the mark and does not want to sour relations with their Bundesliga rivals. He told Deutsche Presseagentur: "We don't have any interest in acquiring the services of these two players. "We wanted to make that point straight away to ensure our neighbourly relationship with Hannover 96 continues in the future."
