Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has not given up hope of having playmaker Franck Ribery available for their UEFA Champions League final.
Bayern secured their place in the Madrid finale after beating Lyon 4-0 on aggregate while opponents Inter Milan got the better of highly-fancied Barcelona.
Ribery is set to miss the Inter clash after being sent off in the first leg of their 1-0 win over Lyon for an over-the-top challenge on Lisandro Lopez.
The gifted Frenchman is set to sit out the final, but Rummenigge is travelling to Nyon to speak at Wednesday's appeal hearing in a bid to have Ribery's ban overturned.
"I will travel to Nyon and we are going to fight for him," explained Rummenigge.
"The most important thing is that we convince the Uefa hearing that it was not an assault, only a rough foul.
"Perhaps if we achieve our goal, Franck can play in the final."
