Patrick Owomoyela has confirmed he is about to extend his stay at German side Borussia Dortmund. Owomoyela - a former Germany international - will put pen-to-paper on a deal which will keep him at the Bundesliga outfit until June 2013. The 30-year-old's current contract was not due to expire until the end of next season but he and Dortmund have moved to tie up an extension. The midfielder joined the Signal Iduna Park outfit from Werder Bremen in 2008 and has impressed during his time in Dortmund. And Owomoyela is delighted at the prospect of remaining with Jurgen Klopp's side, saying: "I am absolutely enjoying my stay at Borussia Dortmund. "It is a truly great club and we have big ambitions for the future years. We have agreed to sit down shortly and sort out a new contract." General manager Michael Zorc was also pleased to have agreed in principle terms with the player. He added: "We are ready to make this deal. Owo has had a great last campaign and is key in our plans for the future."
