Bayern Munich boss Louis van Gaal would be willing to allow Austria international David Alaba to remain on loan with Bundesliga rivals Hoffenheim.
The 18-year-old is under contract with Bayern until June 2013, but is currently on loan with European hopefuls Hoffenheim until the end of the season.
Alaba was allowed to move in January in order to build first-team experience at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena and Van Gaal thinks the agreement has been beneficial.
The Bayern boss told BILD: "David Alaba is definitely a great talent. This is why I think we are going to make him come back.
"However, this may not take place this summer. He did not really get much action in the first team with us.
"This is what he is getting at Hoffenheim. This will aid his development massively."
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim have announced that Argentinian midfielder Franco Zuculini has joined Racing Club of Avellaneda in his homeland on loan until June.
Racing Club also have the option to extend the loan for a further season if the defence-minded 20-year-old proves a positive signing.
