Bayern Munich keeper Manuel Neuer says he has no confirmed strategy on how to tackle the club's fans who did not want him to sign.
The 25-year-old is up against it from the off in Bavaria after some fans urged club bosses not to sign a player who was the face of their rivals.
Before the Bundesliga season concluded some fans displayed "No Neuer" sign signifying for the club to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
Neuer has since signed a five-year contract after leaving Schalke and he feels an open discussion could be the way to go in order to iron things out before he makes his debut.
"Until now I have no concrete strategy," said Neuer.
"But we have talked about this with Bayern officials and think we need to go to the fans and maybe have an open discussion about these issues.
"This transfer dragged on for a while but I am happy to have reached this point and to be able to say that I will play for Bayern from this summer.
"I did not want to go abroad. The Bundesliga is a lucrative league and in Germany the best club is Bayern and I wanted to play for the best club in Germany."
Germany head coach Joachim Low has given Neuer the thumbs up as he believes Bayern will be the perfect club for the keeper to continue to grow and develop.
"I think this is a logical step because Bayern are always expected to play in the Champions League and to have a say in that competition," remarked Low.
"They play for titles every season and, for any player, playing there means he will develop.
"He has shown what he can do and I think he will be challenged there. I also like Bayern's good policy to have German national team players on their squad."
