Bremen captain accuses youngsters of arrogance

Veteran midfielder Torsten Frings has launched a scathing attack on young professionals in the German game. Frings, who has not been offered an extension to his Werder Bremen contract and may retire this summer, believes arrogance is all too common in younger players. And the 34-year-old, who has 79 caps for Germany, has warned the next generation not to cross his path with the wrong attitude. "These young players are not doing anything," he told German newspaper Stern. "It is a fact every one of them is feeling like Superman within no time. "They feel they have achieved something without having been around. They do not want to rub somebody up the wrong way." Frings has spent 11 years over two spells with Bremen, but is yet to decide whether to prolong his career with a new club or retire into a coaching role.
