Wolfsburg coach plays down chances of a swift return for Hleb

Wolfsburg head coach Felix Magath has revealed that midfielder Alexander Hleb has returned to training after recovering from a knee injury. The much-travelled player recently joined the Bundesliga outfit on a short-term loan deal until the end of December from Barcelona. The 30-year-old has had a frustrating time with the European champions following his transfer from Arsenal in July 2008 and has spent time on loan at Stuttgart and Birmingham City over the past couple of seasons. But the Belarus international has said he is grateful for the chance to impress at the Volkswagen Arena and has now started training again after a knee operation in June. However, Magath has played down the chances of a swift return for Hleb, telling Deutsche Pressagentur: "Hleb is back in training, yes, but he will need some time. Most importantly, his knee is showing a healthy status. Now, we have to wait and see how things turn out in the next couple of weeks."
