The Germany international has found himself behind Mario Mandzukic in the striking pecking order since picking up a serious injury at the start of the campaign.
He has been left on the bench for big matches at home and abroad over recent weeks, restricting his ability to match his efforts from recent years.
Gomez plundered 80 goals over the course of the last two seasons, but has managed just eight so far this term.
He refuses to accept that he is now working on borrowed time at the Allianz Arena, with his contract set to run until 2016.
Gomez told Sport-BILD: "Of course I am always disappointed when not used from the start, especially for big matches against the likes of (Borussia) Dortmund and Arsenal.
"But I would not have signed a new deal if I was not convinced it was the right decision. I am looking forward to the future and getting back into the first team."
It has been suggested that Bayern may move for Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski over the summer, paving the way for an attacking exit, but Gomez is reading little into speculation suggesting his current employers are looking to replace him.
He added: "Those rumours are very boring to me."
