Stuttgart manager Armin Veh has warned those considering an approach for Antonio Rudiger, including West Ham United, that the defender is not for sale.

The 21-year-old centre-half is one of the brightest young talents in German football and has already earned senior international recognition – making his debut for the newly-crowned world champions in May.

He has been part of the first-team set-up at Stuttgart for three years now and figured 30 times for them in Bundesliga competition last season.

His obvious talent, coupled with the potential to improve further, has drawn admiring glances from across Europe.

West Ham are among those reported to be closely monitoring Rudiger’s situation, as Sam Allardyce looks to bolster his defensive options.

Stuttgart, though, have no intention of cashing in on a player who is tied to a contract that is due to run until 2017.

Veh said when pressed on the youngster’s future: “Antonio Rudiger is under contract with our club.

“We have no interest in selling him, we have never considered that.”
