Marcel Risse's late free-kick earned bottom club Cologne a point from a 2-2 home draw with high-flying Schalke to keep slim survival hopes alive.
Midfielder Risse struck in the closing stages to complete an impressive fightback for Cologne, who went 2-0 down in the first half.
Goals from Breel Embolo and Yevhen Konoplyanka put Schalke in early control before Cologne hit back through Leonardo Bittencourt soon after.
Risse slammed home an 83rd-minute free-kick after Schalke defender Naldo had been penalised for a foul on Simon Terodde.
Victory would have edged second-placed Schalke even closer to a Champions League place, while Cologne are now eight points from the relegation play-off place with three games left to play.
Michael Gregoritsch and Alfred Finnbogason struck in either half to secure Augsburg a 2-0 home win and deal Mainz's survival hopes a blow.
Austria forward Gregoritsch struck his 12th goal of the season in the first half after being set up by Icelander Finnbogason, who made sure of the points with Augsburg's second in stoppage time.
Mid-table Augsburg clinched just their second win in 10 matches, while Mainz remain deep in relegation trouble with three games to play.
Mainz pair Levin Oztunali and Yoshinori Muto both had late goal-bound efforts saved as Sandro Schwarz's side stay above the relegation zone on goal difference, level on points with third-bottom Freiburg and Wolfsburg.
