Vermant has put pen-to-paper on a contract keeping him at the Arena AufSchalke until June 2006.
"The coach has given me his backing and I identify myself 100 percent with the club," said Vermant.
At the beginning of the season Vermant had threatened to leave the Royal Blues over the summer, but he finally made a U-turn after new coach Jupp Heynckes made him a permanent starter in his preferred position behind the strikers.
The 30-year-old is delighted to have regained his place in the side and is now happy to stay.
Centre back Klasener, who surprisingly sealed his Bundesliga breakthrough at the age of 27, has also been tied to the Arena AufSchalke until 2006.
Heimeroth, who is understudy to both regular number one Frank Rost and second choice Volkan Unlu, received a new deal for the next 12 months.
