Werder Bremen midfielder Tim Borowski has been rewarded for his excellent showings by being named as Germany's Player of the Month for November.
The 25-year-old is being viewed as a potential replacement for Michael Ballack, should the Real Madrid and Manchester United target opt to leave the Allianz Arena next summer.
He polled 68 percent of the vote carried out on behalf of the German Football League (DFL), TV programme DSF and sports magazine Kicker.
Bayern Munich's Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro was second with Schalke playmaker Lincoln in third place.
Borowski, who was also top player last May, recently signed a new contract tying him to Bremen until 2009.
