A number of Bundesliga clubs are keen on signing Heiko Westermann.
Schalke, Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg are among the clubs keen on signing Arminia Bielefeld starlet Heiko Westermann, according to his agent.
The 23-year-old defender has impressed many in his rise into Bundesliga football over the last two seasons and is tipped to be a future German international.
Westermann is under contract at the Schuco-Arena until 2008 but his agent Fritz Popp says clubs have already been in touch about his client's availability.
"I am getting fresh enquiries almost on a daily basis, he's in really high demand," Popp told Sportbild.
The German stopper is rated highly by his current club, who would most likely demand a large fee.
However, Westermann would be free to leave Bielefeld if they fell out of the Bundesliga and coach Thomas Von Heesen is keen to keep hold of the player.
Von Heesen said: "Heiko has all you need to be an outstanding defender - he is quick, strong in the air and a good athlete and that's why he is usually faster to the ball than his opponent."
