Stuttgart and Arminia Bielefeld climbed into the top five of Die Bundesliga after convincing home victories on Sunday.
At The Gottlieb Daimler Stadion, the man of the moment was Sami Khedira, whose brace inspired the 3-0 victory.
Khedira opened the scoring on 32 minutes before adding his second just after the interval.
The win was sealed late on by Serdar Tasci (75).
Arminia celebrated an emphatic 5-1 win over previously high flying Alemania Aachen at The Schuco Arena.
The home side were 2-0 to the good at the interval through Jonas Kamper (11) and Radim Kucera (19).
Reiner Plasshenrich (47) restored some hope for Alemania just after the break, but it was mere respite as Arminia soon restored their two goal advantage through Artur Wichniarek (49).
Kamper added another (68) to make it four and Christian Eigler completed the rout late on.
