Tranquillo Barnetta is optimistic he will be fit for Switzerland's opening game of Euro 2008 against the Czech Republic. The cultured midfielder suffered an ankle injury in training last month and sat out last Friday's friendly against Liechtenstein. But the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker has been making good progress and is hopeful of being involved in Saturday's clash with the Czechs. "I've been off the foot and feel good," Barnetta told reporters. Meanwhile, Switzerland coach Kobi Kuhn's wife has been taken to hospital after suffering an epileptic fit. Alice Kuhn also lost consciousness and was admitted to a Zurich hospital, although the Swiss Football Association expect their coach to be back with the squad on Tuesday. After facing the Czechs on Saturday, co-hosts Switzerland then meet Turkey and Portugal in Group A.
