Lyon's Michel Bastos has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Roma.
Roma have been linked with a January bid for the midfielder after they were credited with an interest in him on transfer deadline day.
Bastos was also linked with a move to Juventus but that failed to materialise and he signed a new deal with the Ligue 1 club.
Roma, however, it seems has little chance of landing the player when the window re-opens.
"It's absolutely not true," his representative Fabio Parisi told Laroma24.it.
"Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini didn't ask for him on transfer deadline day. He's never asked for him."
