Former Fulham full-back Sascha Riether has his sights set on coaching when he retires, but plans to see out his career with Freiburg.
Riether, who spent the past two seasons in the Premier League with Fulham, returned to the Bundesliga side where he began his career for an undisclosed fee this summer.
The 31-year-old signed a three-year deal with Freiburg and is planning to honour that contract as he looks to learn as much as possible from the management style of Christian Streich.
"I would like to retire from the professional game as a Freiburg player. Afterwards I would like to become a coach," he told Sport-BILD.
"That’s why I am happy to experience training under Christian Streich.
"I am taking notice of how he is dealing with things."
