Bayern Munich's Torsten Frings has withdrawn from Germany's squad.
Bayern Munich midfielder Torsten Frings has withdrawn from Germany's squad to face Iran on Saturday.
Frings picked up a muscle injury in Bayern's 2-1 victory at Werder Bremen and will not be fit to make the trip to Tehran.
Germany have also lost Werder Bremen defender Frank Fahrenhorst who withdrew after breaking his nose in a clash with Michael Ballack in the same game.
Borussia Dortmund veteran Christian Worns has been drafted in to replace Fahrenhorst, but national boss Jurgen Klinsmann has decided not to nominate a replacement for Frings and will fly with a 19-man squad to the Middle East.
