Werder Bremen could be boosted by the return of Tim Borowski against Levski Sofia.
Werder Bremen could be boosted by the return of Tim Borowski for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash with Levski Sofia.
The German international picked up a knee injury in the last group game against Barcelona but has made a speedy recovery.
Borowski took part in a full training session with his team-mates on Monday and the midfielder is hopeful of playing some part at the Weser Stadion.
"Everything has gone really well, as it usually takes six or seven weeks to recover from such an injury," Borowski told the club's official website.
"Things were a lot better today than they were yesterday, but it wasn't a final fitness test.
"I am hopeful that everything could be okay (for Wednesday)."
Werder coach Thomas Schaaf is also waiting on the fitness of defenders Frank Baumann and Christian Schulz, who both picked up injuries during Saturday's thrashing of Bochum.
After claiming just one point from their first two Champions League encounters, Bremen need to beat Sofia to retain any realistic hope of progressing from Group A.
