The Bundesliga title chasers are believed to have offered Klose a lucrative deal to stay at the Weserstadion.
Klose, who has indicated he would like to move abroad, is contracted to Bremen until 2008, but according to the national daily Bild, the club have now offered the former Kaiserslautern hit-man a three-year deal.
The new contract would see Klose's salary increase from ‚é¼2.8million (£1.9m) to ‚é¼4.2million (£2.8m) per year.
It is also believed to include a clause allowing the World Cup Golden Boot winner to leave should he receive a major offer from abroad, but Bremen would be able to cash in on any transfer fee.
The club's director of sport, Klaus Allofs says he believes the new deal should be enough to keep the striker in the Bundesliga.
"I am very confident that Miro will stay with us," Allofs said.
Klose, who has netted 11 times in the Bundesliga this term, recently slammed the door shut on a possible move to Bayern Munich insisting he would either sign a new deal with Bremen or move abroad.
