Werder Bremen coach Robin Dutt is to welcome Croatia's Mateo Pavlovic back from international duty by dropping him.

The move is less of a punitive measure but more of a demonstration that he expects more from his first-team players, and that the route from the youth team into the professional squad is also open.
"I want to have a competition for places which extends down to the second team," said Dutt on his club's website.
"Currently, Oliver Husing is making a good impression, which is why he should be given a chance.
"In general, we want a more fluid transition between the first and the second team so that the lads also see that the route to the professionals is not blocked.
"This is a sign to the homegrown players that they do have a realistic and fair chance."
The international break has deprived Dutt of Zlatko Junuzovic, who returned yesterday with a foot injury.
"It's definitely going to take a while before he is available again," said Dutt. "Of course his loss hurts us a lot because he is a very important player for us."
