Stuttgart snatched a 2-1 away win against PAOK, while Rapid Bucharest beat Shakhtar.Stuttgart scored twice in the last five minutes to snatch a 2-1 away win against PAOK Salonika in Group G, while Rapid Bucharest beat Shakhtar Donetsk.
The German outfit have now put themselves in a strong position to progress in the Uefa Cup after Danijel Ljuboja's double turned the game on its head.
PAOK took the lead on 48 minutes through Hristos Karipidis and Stuttgart then had Silvio Meissner sent off on 76 minutes for a second bookable offence.
Serbo-Montenegrin striker Ljuboja drew Stuttgart level five minutes from time and the winner arrived in the final minute.
Home defender Ifeanyi Udeze was dismissed for bringing down Mario Gomez in the box and Ljuboja made no mistake from the resultant penalty.
Rapid have now won both of their games in the group after pinching a late 1-0 success in Ukraine.
Marius Maldavasanu scored in the 87th minute for the Romanian outfit as Shakhtar dropped their first points in the group phase.
