The South American slammed the clubs tactics' as 'too defensive-minded' in a recent interview, and his manager has now issued a critique of his own.
"We can't tolerate that a player is criticising things in public and talks about our tactics and our system", explained Hitzfeld.
Following Bayern's embarrassing Champions' League exit, the normally mild-mannered Hitzfeld has decided to take a much tougher disciplinarian stand.
The former Grasshoppers and Borussia Dortmund boss is contracted to Bayern until 2004, and knows all too well that he has to deliver some domestic silverware this season in order to receive a new contract at the Olympiastadion.
Pizarro, who has managed seven goals in 14 Bundesliga starts this term, had told the German press that he was not happy about Hitzfeld's overly-negative tactical approach.
"Bayern Munich is a defensive team. This is not my idea of football. I would like to play a more attacking style of football and I find it difficult to change my opinion. I don't mind to run, but I'd like to run forward and not backward".
