Pizarro hoping for Peru chance

BAYERN MUNICH striker Claudio Pizarro has revealed he is hoping to be called into the Peru side that faces Chile twice in the upcoming months.

Paulo Autuori is yet to name his side for the clash, but following Pizarro's desire to make the long-haul trip he is now likely to be named.

The Peruvian hit-man has revealed a break in Die Bundesliga calendar allows him to return to South America without infuriating Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.

"I don't have any problems travelling to Peru to play for the national team in the friendly games against Chile," said Pizarro.

"I know that there will be a match played in March and another one in April, so if I am called by the coach for any of those games I will not have any problem going.

"I have the luck that in the dates that Peru will play against Chile, there will also be a break in Europe so that's why it will be a very good chance for me to travel."
